Lorquí's huertana tradition will tour the streets of the municipality on October 6 (24/09/2018)

The program is completed with the 3rd edition of the Gastronomic Route 'Delicias de la Huerta', to offer the most typical products of the same at an affordable price, and the painting exhibition 'Alma y Paisaje' by the local artist Emilio Marco

Lorquí celebrates on October 6th its XIV Bando Huertano, organized by the peña 'El Refajo' in collaboration with the City Council, through the Department of Culture, on the occasion of the Fiestas del Rosario, in which the peñas huertanas participate Maintain tradition and customs.

The program is completed with an exhibition of handicrafts at the Town Hall, storytelling sessions at the Municipal Library, the Lorquí Rock festival and the painting exhibition 'Alma y Paisaje' by local artist Emilio Marco, among other events.

This was announced by the mayor, Joaquín Hernández, last Friday, September 21 during the presentation of the XIV Bando Huertano de Lorquí poster made by a neighbor of the municipality, as it has been a tradition, Carmen Gallego, and in which the wealth and beauty of the huertano character of our town.

The evening also hosted the opening of the Huertana craft exhibition organized by the 'El Refajo' club.

The Bando Huertano will be held on October 6 from 6.30 pm and will travel many of the streets of the municipality to reach the Plaza de la Libertad where the wreath will be made to the Virgen del Rosario, after which the rocks will come to the Parque de la Constitución where a night of conviviality will take place with the musical performances of the dance groups from Huerta.


The program will be completed with an offer of activities for all audiences that includes the painting exhibition 'Alma y Paisaje' by the local artist Emilio Marco, framed within the program of exhibition spaces of the CARM, which will open on Friday, October 5 in City Hall;

two sessions of storytelling in the Municipal Library on September 27 and October 30;

a monstrous decoration workshop for Halloween, also at the Municipal Library on October 20;

the VII End of Terror from Friday, October 19 to October 21;

and the VIII Lorquí Rock Festival on October 20 in the Parque de la Constitución.


Also, this year the Department of Commerce in collaboration with numerous bars and restaurants in the municipality, has organized the III Gastronomic Route 'Delicias de la Huerta' which aims to offer the most typical products of the garden at an affordable price.

The route will be held on October 5, 6 and 7 and the following establishments will participate: 'El Huerto Brewery', 'Fisterra Restaurant', 'El Ángel Bar', 'Santa Sed Brewery', 'La Mota Restaurant', 'Bar La Plaza', 'Confectionery El Pilar', 'Bar La Frontera' and 'Bar El Parque'.
