Lorquí Local Police opens barracks (26/10/2018)

The staff of the Local Police of Lorquí has ​​inaugurated this morning the facilities of its new barracks located in Acequia street of the municipality.

The building, which accommodates a total of 25 police officers, has two floors and has involved the City Council an investment of 240,000 euros.

It has also had a contribution of 20,000 euros from the Autonomous Community for furniture.

The mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, and the counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, were in charge of discovering the plaque of the property accompanied by the general director of Local Administration, Manuel Durán, and the councilor for Citizen Security, Isidoro Martínez.

"This was our commitment and from the City Council we have made an important economic effort, in complicated times, so that our Police can have the dependencies that it deserves", as the first mayor pointed out.

Hernandez has used the occasion to show his appreciation for the work done by the agents in the town with the delivery of a plaque to the sergeant of the Local Police, Cayetano Ruiz, and to the three corporals Mariano Cañavate, Eduardo Rodríguez, and Raúl Serrano.
