The City Council of Lorquí approves its budgets for 2019 focused on social care, infrastructure and maintenance of public services (30/11/2018)

The City of Lorquí is ahead of the remaining consistories of the Region and approves the General Budgets for 2019 amounting to 8,990,875 euros based on stability and the balance between income and expenses.

These have as fundamental axes the maintenance of public services, the provision of important infrastructures for the municipality, social care, the promotion of employment and development of industrial estates, and the maintenance of quality public services;

avoiding cuts and facing the debt acquired in previous legislatures.

Thus, as stressed by the spokesperson, Paqui Asensio, are real budgets, because there is a balance between expenses and income and meet the objective of budgetary stability and financial sustainability;

responsible with the current situation;

social, because they focus on attention to neighbors and the maintenance of quality public services;

and of the future, because they contemplate and allow the growth of the municipality through the provision of infrastructures and the development of industrial areas, fundamental for the creation of employment.

In addition, these budgets are the result of years of management, is not a new budget, but the continuation of the path initiated of good practices and compliance with real commitments, with a rigorous level of transparency, "as pointed out by the mayor of the municipality , Joaquín Hernández "The residents of Lorquí continue to be the center of municipal political attention and we maintain a series of guiding principles that guide government action: efficiency, efficiency, austerity and transparency".

The budgets for 2019 count in their investment heading with a total of 1,187,340 euros and take into account both the small investments, which are not smaller because they meet the demands of the residents of the town and districts, and collect important projects such as the Cultural Promotion Center, which will house the School of Music, the Health Center;

the new Library;

the investment in sports facilities with a budget of 300,000 euros, which includes the new artificial turf Juan de la Cierva Football Field;

the remodeling of parks and gardens;

the asphalting of streets;

the conditioning of the urban area and the investment in rural roads.

"A very important effort has been made to clean up the City Council and to be able to face investments in infrastructure that are very necessary for the development and growth of our people," said Hernández.

Likewise, these insure and consolidate aid in social services by increasing the number of home help and maintaining social emergency items, collecting work integration programs, absenteeism, telecare and child-friendly cities.

As for the provision of services, all will be maintained including items to encourage the acquisition and rental of housing in the municipality and another for rehabilitation of facades in the old town.

In terms of education, it has been invested in the shadow of the public schools of the municipality and paying 100% of the school transport service for children who come to the dining room.

In addition, 8,000 euros have been allocated for school materials and grants to schools and AMPAS have been approved.

Likewise, the areas of culture, festivities and tourism have been reinforced to give greater publicity to the wealth and heritage of the municipality.

It also encourages citizen participation and associationism by betting on the associative fabric of the municipality with a game of 140,000 euros for grants.

In employment and training, it is still committed to a series of measures that allow and facilitate access to the labor market for the unemployed.

To this end, work is being carried out through training to improve the conditions of the unemployed and by paying special attention to the long-term unemployed and young people enrolled in the Youth Guarantee System with measures such as the Local Employment Program for hiring workers, programs of training for the unemployed and young people, the program of employment and local development agents and the organization of training courses throughout the year.
