The City Hall hosts during these days a sample of Huertan craftsmanship organized by the rock 'El Refajo'
Lorquí celebrates next September 30th his XIII Bunch Huertano, organized by the rock 'El Refajo' in collaboration with the City Council, through the Department of Culture, on the occasion of the Festivals of the Virgin of the Rosary and in which the peñas huertanas to maintain the tradition and the customs.
The program is completed with an exhibition of local handicrafts in the City Hall, an exhibition of paintings, the performance of Curro Piñana and a culinary route 'Delicias de la Huerta' by numerous bars and restaurants in the municipality, among other things.
This was announced last Friday, September 15, the mayor, Joaquín Hernández, during the presentation of the poster of the XIII Bando Huertano in the City Hall made by a neighbor of Lorquí, as has been a tradition.
In this case it is the work of Gregorio García Gómez, and in him "the Huerta tradition is collected and perfectly reflected in a symbolic and elegant way."
The evening also hosted the inauguration of the Huertan handicraft exhibition organized by the rock 'El Refajo' in which "you can see different samples of the artisan work of neighbors of Lorquí.
The Bando Huertano will be celebrated next September 30 from 19.00 hours and will travel many of the streets of the municipality until you reach the Plaza de la Libertad where the floral offering will be made to the Virgin of the Rosary and after which the rocks will go to the Park of the Constitution where it will take place a night of coexistence with musical performances of the huertanos dance groups and other activities.
To make the programming known;
which also includes the painting exhibition 'Tauroflamencas' by the artist Inma Escudero, a concert by Curro Piñana on Saturday 14 October, activities on the occasion of Halloween during the weekend of 20 to 23 October and the play' El Buscón 'on Saturday, October 28, among other acts;
a campaign of diffusion and promotion has been realized through posters, brochures and mupis in Lorquí and in other municipalities of the surroundings.
Gastronomica route
To complete the cultural offer, for the second consecutive year, the Department of Commerce in collaboration with numerous bars and restaurants in the municipality has launched the Gastronomic Route 'Delicias de la Huerta' which aims to offer the most typical and traditional products of the garden presented and served in an original and different way.
For only two euros you can taste cane and tapa.
The route will be held on 6, 7 and 8 October and it will participate a total of 8 establishments:

"With this initiative we intend to expand the leisure offer adding the gastronomy to the culture and tradition and thus invite more people to go out to the street and neighbors from other localities to come and enjoy with us the program for the holidays of the Virgin of the Rosary, "said Hernández.
