The City Council of Lorquí and Ecoembes launch the campaign 'Recycle and Breathe' in the municipality with the aim of informing and raising awareness among the population about the importance of separating containers at source and depositing them in the container that corresponds to an adequate post treatment and recycling.

The communication and awareness campaign of the citizens includes, in addition to the dissemination of the same through mupis, posters, brochures and advertising spots, a visit to the Ecopark of Lorquí for the students of the educational centers, a gymkhana for cleaning, the creation of a large mural in the Institute and the holding of a contest, also for schoolchildren, which will focus on the need to recycle cans and cans and the benefits of doing so for the environment through the motto "for every 6 cans that are recycled in the yellow container, the contamination of 10 minutes of exhaust pipe is counteracted ".

Thus, through this contest will encourage the use of the yellow container, which is suitable for metal packaging, installing two in each of the schools: Colegio Dolores Escámez, Colegio Jesús García and IES Romano García, and will win that center whose collection is greater.

The prizes will be: 5 ornamental trees for the third classified;

tools, utensils and products for an organic garden for the second classified;

and a portable sound equipment for the first classified.

Therefore, this campaign maintains the line of work that is carried out by the City Council and seeks to consolidate and reinforce habits already acquired by citizens for the selective collection and recycling of cans and metal containers, promoting the involvement of neighbors and neighbors and raising awareness among those who still do not separate or recycle the benefits of doing so for their environment and their health.
