Through the campaign 'Consciousness with science' teens conciencian of the risks that are exposed when consuming alcoholic beverages.

The students of 1st ESO's Secondary School Lorquí Roman Garcia participate this week in a training program to learn how to identify and prevent the effects of alcohol consumption on health from adolescence.

This campaign 'Consciousness with science', of the ministries of Health and Education in the Region of Murcia, aimed at students of 1 Secondary Education (ESO) is framed in the Argos Community Program and is conducted in collaboration with health professionals, teachers and municipal officers in the area of ​​drug prevention, as collaborates and participates Lorquí City Council through its Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Dependence 2013.

The main objective of this project is to prevent alcohol and awareness of its health effects.

So, through a circuit with various activities carried out in sessions held both the IES and in the Health Center are given knowledge about the consequences of alcohol consumption among adolescents, in terms of health risks physical, mental, and social benefits resulting from consumption.

In addition, it seeks to promote reflection on the current consumption pattern, warning of the impact it has on the behavior of adolescents.

The students were able to pose questions that challenge their knowledge, attitudes and previous experiences regarding alcohol consumption.

All this through participatory techniques and procedures that promote the questioning of their own ideas to contrast these personal thoughts reflection and group together in order to raise awareness of the risks that are exposed when consuming alcohol.
