These facilities put Lorquí on the international business business map
On Tuesday, October 8, Joaquín Hernández, mayor of Lorquí, officially opened the expansion of the Eurofins Ecosur, SA company facilities at the Industrial Base 2000 San Martín.
During the event, the commemorative plaque was discovered and the facilities of the entire headquarters were visited.
The company, which was founded in 1997 by Murcia businessmen Julio Hernández and Luis Coll with the name of Laboratorios Ecosur, SA, is located in Lorquí since 2004 and was acquired in 2018 by the Eurofins Scientific group, the most important multinational group of private laboratories of the world.
The commitment of companies such as Eurofins-Ecosur contributes to Lorquí polygons being an area of â€‹â€‹economic growth and development, placing them at the forefront of business.
Its main occupation is the analysis of food, being a company specialized in infant feeding and juices, also having as main sources of activity chromatography and the analysis of metals in food.
In addition, it has 800 laboratories in 47 different countries putting Lorquí on the business and business map internationally, which has an impact on both employment and economic and social development in the area.
"From the City Council we express our commitment and support so that these industrial areas continue to grow and improve to house more and more companies, with measures and proposals that encourage industries to settle with us," said Hernández.
Also, Julio Hernández, founding partner of Laboratorios Ecosur and current director of Contaminant Analysis Operations in Spain and director of the Eurofins Ecosur Laboratory of Murcia;
León Aafes, general director of the Food, Feed and Agro Analysis Division in Spain;
and Ignacio Pina, president of the European Association of National Accreditation Bodies.
There were also several senior management positions, as well as experts related to the world of research and development and university professionals.
