As usual, Lorquí City Council is committed to culture as a fundamental pillar of its policies.
From the Department of Culture and from the Professional Circuit of Performing and Musical Arts of the Region of Murcia it is intended to expand the cultural proposal thanks to the help received with this program by the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts of the Region of Murcia ( ICA), being one of the 9 selected municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
This circuit subsidizes up to 50% of the representations carried out during the programming, with an economic endowment of a total of € 400,000 among all the municipalities that are part of the plan, whose objective is to facilitate the distribution and public display of work from the creators of Murcia creating a network of scenic spaces and production companies.
The project consists in increasing the cultural offer in the municipality, including music, dance and theater, to offer an annual program that will be presented quarterly with the name of `Annual Programming of Performing Arts Auditorium` Enrique Tierno Galván´.
Thus, the City Council undertakes to offer at least one show per month that is part of this circuit combining municipal funds with the collaboration of the ICA, "putting our auditorium at the level of other cultural spaces within the regional landscape" as stated by the Councilor for Culture, Mª Dolores García Rojo.
"To be able to offer shows with artistic quality in different fields and levels is a reality that will take place in the next exercise and that we hope will have a favorable reception in the municipality," said the mayor.
Thus, the City of Lorquí, from the Department of Culture, attended the celebration of the XII Conference of the Performing Arts of the Region of Murcia organized by MurciaaEscena, association of companies producing performing arts of the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the ICA
The Víctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center and the Párraga Center attended this event, which is a space for debate and reflection on the performing arts from different perspectives.
The conference began in the Regional Auditorium with the III Forum of the Business of the Performing Arts where companies and cultural programmers met in brief meetings with the objective of establishing contacts and professional agreements.
In addition, in the afternoon session a colloquium table 'Work in Network' was held, in which various regional and national level officials in the Párraga Center intervened.
These days have taken place during this week by bringing together professionals and programmers to offer different visions in organizational, structural and cultural matters.
