The Lorquí City Council, through the Sports Department, has reported that this year the municipal swimming pools will not be opened to the public due to the health crisis that is taking place due to COVID-19.
This decision has been made in order to safeguard the safety and health of residents and visitors who come to the facilities. The determination of the closure of the facilities is made in the face of the difficulty of complying with security measures such as distance, disinfection requirements and the limitation of capacity in the premises and the pools themselves.
"This decision is taken as a precaution, it must be borne in mind that it is a public area where dozens of people congregate and therefore are places susceptible to contagion and spread of the virus," said the mayor of the municipality, Joaquín Hernández.Other municipalities in the Region have been forced to make the same decision, which is that sprouts are becoming more common.
Since the Alarm State was lifted, several relapses have been seen in certain territories, and that is that the virus has not yet become extinct.
For this reason, it is vitally important to ensure the safety of citizens and appeal to the individual responsibility of all citizens in order to advance in this reality and avoid massive infections.
