| The Ministry of Health has reduced the capacity of in bars and restaurants to 40% | The mayor maintains the request for voluntary confinement to the residents of the municipality, mainly those over 65 years of age The mayor of Lorquí, Joaquín Hernández, took stock this morning, after the weekend, of the situation of the pandemic in the municipality.
Thus, there are currently a total of 48 positives in the municipality, 19 people pending to receive the PCR results and a total of 91 close contacts in confinement. These results have led the Ministry of Health to extend the reduction of capacity in bars and restaurants to 40%, already in force in other towns, also the municipality.
Likewise, the City Council maintains the closure of parks and sports facilities and the request to residents, especially those over 65, to carry out a voluntary confinement until the contagion curve begins to decline.
These measures are also added to the delay in the start of classes in Infant and Primary, scheduled for September 7 to September 14. With the aim of stopping contagions, it has been insisted on the need to respect the restrictions already approved by the Ministry of Health and the Autonomous Community of maintaining a safety distance, using a mask and proper hand hygiene. From the Autonomous Community they have endorsed the request that the first mayor made to the population last week to carry out a voluntary confinement to reduce infections and control the pandemic in the municipality.
