[Lorqu approves its 2021 budgets focused on infrastructures, maintenance of services and aid to alleviate the COVID-19 crisis (21/12/2020)

Budgets that this year have been adjusted to the real needs, both in investments and in the maintenance of services, and that contemplate and collect completely new items for aid and measures that contribute to alleviate and reduce the effects of the health crisis by COVID-19.

Actions that are added to demands in terms of infrastructures that will put Lorqu at the forefront and vanguard in the provision of services in our region; such as: the construction of a Day Center and a Center for People with Disabilities or the Municipal Library,among other.

Thus, as highlighted by the spokesperson, Paqu Asensio, they are realistic budgets, responsible with the current situation and open to the future, because they contemplate and allow the growth of the municipality, both in the urban area and the As in industrial estates, essential for job creation.

"These budgets are the result of years of management, it is not a new budget, but rather the continuation of the path started of good practices and fulfillment of real commitments, with a rigorous level of transparency, putting the neighbors as the center of everything, and with a series of principles that guide the action of this Government: effectiveness, efficiency and transparency ", as the mayor, Joaqu n Hern ndez, has pointed out.

Therefore, it has not been cut in any of the services provided by the City Council.

Thus, the Home Help Service has been increased by 50,000 euros; The Pruning Collection service has been launched to facilitate cleaning of the garden area, since stubble burning is prohibited; the Conciliation service is continued in the School Centers,to help families; A new Early Attention service is going to be launched to attend to the boys and girls of the municipality, from 0 to 3 years old, since their care is not guaranteed by any entity; and, also, it continues to bet on and encourage the Practice of School Sports.

The Budgets 2021 have in their investment item a total of 3,311,132 euros, taking into account both large projects and small investments, which are not less important because they are not less important since they meet the demands of the residents of the town and pedan ace.

Thus, large projects are collected such as the acquisition of the site for the Center for People with Disabilities, with 153.00 euros; the new building for the Municipal Library, with 626,000 euros; the acquisition of a pergola for the Jes s Garc a School, with 109,000 euros; or the works in the Soccer Field, with 830,658 On the other hand, they also include investments such as: the acquisition of a plot of land for the residents of Los Palacios, with 50,000 euros; works for the recovery and rehabilitation of the Noria del T o Rapao and its surroundings, with 51,000 euros;actions for the recovery of the Palacete de la Cierva, with 48,400 euros; a healthy urban itinerary, with 15,000 euros; or the works to improve the sewerage, infrastructure and drinking water in various areas of the municipality, with 75,000 euros, among others.

Finally, the quotas for the urbanization of the Saladar II Industrial Estate have been budgeted with an amount of 1,066,000 euros, of which 239,000 will be allocated to the completion of urbanization works n, and 825,000 euros to the electrification of said polygon.

"Almost 90% of the actions that will be carried out in terms of investments are with own funds, with an investment of one million euros.

Then it is a predominantly municipal budget," Asensio pointed out.

2020 has been a year marked by the health crisis, so the main objective has been to try to develop policies aimed at helping people in situations of vulnerability.

"We have allocated social emergency aid, aid to families affected by COVID and aid to dining scholarships.

In this same line, 200,000 euros have been allocated to aid to the hospitality and commerce sector of the municipality, which have suffered the consequences of this difficult situation with the closure of its businesses as a preventive measure.

For the year 2021, 150,000 euros have been budgeted in aid to this sector, "as the spokesperson indicated.

20 files of patrimonial responsibility have been processed for an amount of 158,000 euros for the repair of cave houses, affected by the episodes of the DANA storm.

In addition, 100,000 euros have been earmarked for the repair of facades, accessibility to housing and the rehabilitation of cave houses.

Likewise, in the line of work of the objectives set in the 2030 Agenda and the Urban Agenda, an item of 157,000 euros has been allocated for European projects.

In relation to the repair of rural roads and roads affected by DANA this year, a total of 561,271 euros have been invested.

Accessibility works have been carried out on Calle del Horno for an amount of 20,000 euros and a cycling route 'Entre Norias' for 102,500 euros.

341,429 euros have been invested in the paving of urban roads and street repair.

In the Works and Services Plan that will be tendered shortly and that will focus on the arrangement of the Plaza Miguel Hern ndez and surroundings, a total of 195,786 euros has been budgeted and on the improvement of the rainwater network 30,000 euros .

In Citizen Participation the same line of work has been maintained as in other years, since "it is essential in the day of municipal politics", for this reason 15,000 euros have been allocated for participatory budgets, that this past year they met the demands and initiatives of the youngest of the municipality.

We will continue to bet on digitization and the implementation of electronic administration, as well as the launch of a new municipal portal.

In Culture and Celebrations, the programming will be adapted to the current situation, as it has been up to now, launching an innovative and pioneering initiative 'culture in extremis' that has brought culture to all homes virtually.

In the field of Employment and Training, the City Council will continue to carry out actions to facilitate access to the labor market for people in a situation of unemployment with an investment of almost 290,000 euros.

"This is a budget that, as in previous years, adapts to the reality we live in and comes to provide solutions to the problems and needs of our neighbors and our municipality," concluded Hern ndez.
