In the morning, Sunday, April 17, Palm Sunday, there has been a traditional procession in the town ilorcitano, parade in which their neighbors have taken to the streets to commemorate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
Early morning Mass was celebrated in the Church of St. James (9 hours), preamble of the massive blessing of palms and olive branches (11.30 hours) which led to the Palm Sunday procession in the involving hundreds of people.

Holy Week 2011 kicked off in Lorquí on Friday April 15 at St. James Church which hosted the presentation of the restoration of the image of "Dulce Nombre de Jesus", chaired by President of the Cabildo Guilds Higher local Francisco García Marco, and involving local and invited the Mayor, Dolores Garcia Villa, and Councillor for Culture, Antonio Asensio.
