Lorquí City Council recently completed the works of a bowling lane huertanos, facilities that are located at Constitution Park ilorcitano and have free use.
This project represents an investment of over € 19,000 and has received a grant of 16,300 euros more included in the "Plan Leader" and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
"With these facilities we connect the sport with the respect and promotion of traditional local popular," says the mayor ilorcitano, Joaquin Hernandez, who recalled that this project "meets the huge demand from neighbors came demanding adequate facilities for the practice of this activity so ingrained in our tradition and culture. "

The bowls are played on fields huertanos rammed earth, called lanes, rectangular shape and a length of 35 to 40 m for 4 to 5 m wide.
