Thus, at a press conference the local mayor, Dolores Garcia Villa, and Councillor for Finance and Social Policy, Sebastián Sánchez, announced that this coming year the Consistory ilorcitano has estimated its budget in '20 EUR 8,492,820 (compared to € 10,122,355.77 in 2009), continuing the policy of austerity and commitment to employment set last year.

"This is a coherent and realistic budget, which we wanted to keep the importance of social policies to help our neighbors, and we will work to make it happen in 2010" said the mayor ilorcitana.

One of the highlights of this Budget is to build a day center for seniors, Social Policy and Resource for Equality, which is expected to be ready for 2011.

And is that the City ilorcitano wants to "continue to promote the screening initiative to promote mainstreaming of gender to enable processes designed to align the planning and implementation of equality policies," said Councillor for Finance and Social Policy, Sebastian Sánchez.

This action is referred to in paragraph investments, which will mean a payout of 2,097,744 Euro '96, with other actions and steps at buildings and other public buildings, or replacement in infrastructure and property intended for the general.

In this regard, Sanchez appealed to the neighborhood to fight vandalism "especially on the weekends" hits the street furniture of the municipality.

Adjusted to reality

Lorquí municipal accounts for 2010 include a decrease in personnel costs 257,380 euros '92, which is a 8'07% respect to 2009.

In this line, elected officials continue the policy of austerity and continue the wage freeze.

For his part, planned capital inflows have been taken into account from the sale of plots and other investments, while the revenue from indirect taxes (buildings, installations, buildings ...) has been reduced by 42% since it has been taken into account the current situation in the construction sector.

However, the austere line did not affect taxes such as the IBI, IAE, that of motor vehicles or the increase of the value of urban land that remain unchanged from 2009 and the pockets of ilorcitanos not have to work harder than necessary.

"Since my team of government came into this City Council have worked to avoid having to raise these taxes," Garcia said.

Greater regional engagement

On the other hand, Sanchez also reviewed the contributions of the central government, that although in 2009 contributed to the municipal accounts 1,500,000 euros, by 2010 this amount was reduced to 1,300,000 euros.

"For its part, the regional government will increase the 850,000 euros to our town last year to the 902,000 euros expected in 2010," said the mayor ilorcitano, who noted that this amount will be used, among other things, the acquisition of vehicles and computer equipment for local police, the commercial suitability of different environments of the municipality, the construction of a roundabout access to the Industrial Park "The Saladar II", various works in streets, parks and gardens in the municipality.
