The Minister of Education, Training and Employment of the Regional Government, Constantine Sotoca, Lorquí Mayor, Dolores Garcia Villa, and the director general of Department, María José Jiménez, opened on Monday morning January 25 the renovation work the school "Jesus Garcia" ilorcitano municipality.

The delegation of authorities, among whom were also local councilors Planning, María José López, and Education, Joaquín Lorenzo Cremades, viewing the results of these works that have been the complete replacement of the original buildings.

So, thanks to an investment of 1,496,000 euros provided entirely by the Ministry of Education, the work was carried out in phases: first the building was demolished kindergarten, located in the southeast of the center-to raise another which has six classrooms, then proceeded to demolish the main building to build a new one that currently houses twelve new classrooms (approximately 45 square meters each and a capacity of 30 students), a multipurpose classroom (for 70 students), a computer room library, tutoring rooms, offices, staff room, toilets (including disabled), storage and mechanical room.

Capacity and comfort

In addition, the project has seen the development of the resulting complex, with the execution of a sports court, children's playground, pergola and parking for 18 vehicles with independent access.

"The goal of this renewal has been to achieve the maximum possible capacity center, always looking for the right conditions of comfort for students and workers," said the local mayor.
